Greetings, my name is Sensei Amanda Joslin, the head instructor and owner. I founded St. Pete Karate Academy with a simple goal—to create a place where anyone can grow stronger, more confident, and feel like they truly belong. As a women-owned and operated dojo, my approach is rooted in both tradition and real-life application, shaped by growing up in a martial arts family and a lifelong passion for teaching. I have also had the opportunity to travel across the country sharing and promoting Isshinryu karate, deepening my commitment to preserving its integrity.

I have spent many years studying both adult and child learning styles, allowing me to meet each student where they are and help them progress at their own pace. Every class is designed to be supportive, structured, and encouraging—so students build confidence without feeling overwhelmed.
